1993 May
Alex (the Forester who was responsible for the land we had camped on) offered a piece of land we could put a building on and also a piece next to it we could use for camping and activities.
As this was now becoming a regular thing and growing in support, it was suggested we became part of the County Scout Fellowship, in West Lancashire, which we did for a year.
1993 July
This year it was decided to have a three-week camp, but with children of different age groups each week (500 in all). Plus once again the children from the Hospital came on day visits. All of the children enjoyed the camp.
After much deliberation, it was decided that we could not stop now, therefore it was decided that the (Romanian Challenge Camp) Camp would be put on a firmer footing.
A lease was agreed, with no rent for 10 years, and an option to renew, and a building with storage, kitchen, preparation room, first aid room and three dormitories was erected, also a toilet block and cess pit, plus a small well.
